Visual Arts

Welcome to our award winning Visual and Digital Arts program! Almost every year, our students win first place at several city or borough wide Art competitions, including the PS Art 2021 Exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The celebrated artwork to the left, by one of our very own students, is the feature page of the Metropolitan museum website.

Our students are given the opportunity to explore a variety of materials and processes, while learning about art history. They are given the chance to have work shown at the Borough, City and State level.

THE MEMORY PROJECT

Each year, select students participate in The Memory Project. This is a program where we partner with orphans or refugee children from another country and students create an artwork based on their photo. These are then sent back to the children. The program is a great opportunity for students to engage in a global exchange!
