All HART students experience a series of regular college readiness lessons and activities in Advisory as well as opportunities to meet one-on-one and in small groups with our team of College & Career advisors.

These advisors get to know students personally and help them identify and enact the most rigorous post-high school plan possible. 

Our College & Career team undertakes to:

1. instill the belief in our students that attending college is the norm and the expectation;

2. coach students' families throughout the college application/preparation process so that they are both aware of and involved in every step;

3. facilitate the college application process such that any obstacles on the path to matriculation are minimized to the greatest possible degree;

4. provide enrichment opportunities to supplement classroom learning, to prepare students academically and socially for the college experience, curtail summer melt, and provide skills such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and self-advocacy;

5. support alumni in their efforts to persist in and complete their undergraduate degree.
